ABOUT THE ROLE:

Travel Alchemist

We’re looking for a Travel Alchemist. If the words above put you in a trance which woke you up with passport in hand, then that just might be you. In this role, your creativity will be the driving force, but your love for adventure will guide you. We want you to design memorable experiences that both captivate and delight. This will involve you creating unique adventures, selecting one-of-a-kind destinations, and most importantly, adding magic to boring travel plans.

💭Dream Weaving: It all starts with a story, the kind that engages any audience. The idea is that you can take these unique stories of adventure and model distinct travel packages tailored for all types of vacationers. Whether it's for adrenaline junkies eager to cliff dive in South Africa, or those seeking the tranquility offered in the remote parts of Italy, we're prepared to meet their needs.

🌍Discover The Uncharted: Make every corner of the World your home. From the tucked-away cafes in Paris, to the secret beaches of Bali. In time, you'll be the trusted expert for insider tips, hidden gems, and emerging hotspots. TikTok has nothing on you!

🪄Joy Crafting: Work closely with suppliers, partners, and local legends to secure deals and steals. It'll be up to you to add a special touch to every trip. By doing so, you'll be the Nara Smith of transforming "good" to "extraordinary".

🐝 Buzz Building: Infuse your charm into captivating content that tempts donors at nonprofit auctions to bid generously on your handcrafted experiences. Playful captions, eye-catching visuals, and unique stories will turn observers into wishful adventurers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build relationships with property owners, managers, and vendors around the globe

• Develop new travel products for our clients to use in their auctions

• Spot travel industry trends and analyze Google search trends to determine next hot destinations for travel

• Daily outbound calls and emails to potential vendors

• See a travel destination that looks fun on Instagram? Slide into their DM and start conversations on how we can build a product around it

• Work within a CRM (Hubspot) daily to manage your tasks and input data

• Manage our current vendor relationships, you will have crucial conversations with vendors from time to time

• Spend the first 6-months booking trips for our travelers to get a sense of what our travelers need

• Provide ongoing leadership for the strategic direction of the product/experience

• Attend quarterly team gatherings; at least two will be in Southern California

• Participate in weekly meetings, Slack, and Asana projects

• Ride a unicorn 🦄

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Self-starter, 100% remote means no babysitter; you manage your schedule like a grown-up

• Experience in product development, design, or other similar role developing experiences for consumers

• Past experience in the travel industry a plus, like hospitality, travel agent, or travel blogger

• Growth mindset…this is the way

• Proficient in Google Workspace is a plus but not required

• Prior Hubspot knowledge is a plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting

• Time management and organizational skills - must have

• Accepts feedback well and grows from it

• Proactive and an independent problem solver

• Customer service skills are a must
